Foreword: The truth-challenged so-called journalists that write for the Federal Way Mirror, Bob Roegner & "Mr. Anonymous," will likely, over the course of the next several months, try to impugn anyone who is not a professional politician with name calling, even if that candidate has made politics an important part of their life. Roegner has already proved himself to be practically a part of Kristine Reeves' campaign team (not objective at all for a journalist), and is on the Board of Directors of the chameleon Municipal League of King County, that once, at least, qualified Mark Greene for the King County Council.
The following is a list of all of the offices that Mark Greene has been on the ballot for. Mark looks at this list with pride, not with his head down, because to try to do something well in any endeavor, is the first step to success. There is no quota in the amount of times that we can try to improve our nation.

*Disputed election re. 2004 two-candidate Republican Primary: official results were disputed, belatedly. Paul Lord, an unwitting beneficiary of probable election fraud, was proclaimed the official winner with an alleged 53% of the vote, and Mark Greene with 47%. Lord lost General Election to Adam Smith.
Note (I) - Greene's middle name is Mark, and ran under his first name, Clifford, or first and middle names, in all elections prior to 2004, or in all elections other than in Washington.
Note (II) - Elections on list are General Elections unless noted as a Primary.
Note (III) - Primaries in the years 1976, 2000, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 had 3 or more candidates. General Elections in the years 1986, 2000 and 2002 had 3 or more candidates.
"The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step."
"Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."
Born in Michigan, named after the 2nd listed Gospel author, a Son of America, Mark's interest in politics began at an early age, as he sent a speech to the White House while in the 5th grade, and received plaudits from one of Lyndon Johnson's aides. Mark served in the United States Marines from 1972 - 1974 (active duty), and rose to the rank of Corporal (E-4). As a former candidate for office, Mark won his first political victories in Alaska primaries for the U.S. House of Representatives (2000 & 2002), and has since gained wide political recognition in the Northwest, garnering over 150,000 unique votes over the years throughout the length and breadth of Washington and Alaska.
Mark's academic prowess includes a degree from a Minnesota college, numerous political articles as displayed on his various blogs, written poetry and plays, and a well-versed statesman who has visited the continents of Asia and Europe, including several countries, and the ancient cities of Athens and Rome.
Today, Mark wants to serve as your voice in Olympia; a fighter for the little guy, the commoner, the dispossessed, while trying to bring a working-class ethos to the halls of the Capitol. Unlike his opponent, the incumbent Kristine Reeves, Mark gets no campaign cash from corporations or big shots.
We all do our part to serve God, family and country, as what we do in life, echoes in eternity.
Thought of the Moment (September 15, 2018): So tired of people knocking the G.O.P., this is the party of Lincoln & Stevens, after all, that freed the slaves, and the party of Teddy Roosevelt, that started the national park system that protects wildlife & environment. -- Mark
Ran with first name initial, C. Mark Greene, in '04 Washington Congressional 9th District G.O.P. Primary, got more than 18,000 votes.
"There is as much dignity in tilling a field as in writing a poem."
Booker T. Washington
"I was born on the prairies where the wind blew free and there was nothing to break the light of the sun. I was born where there were no enclosures."
"Trust, but verify."
"Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose."
“Let others say what they will of the efficacy of prayer, I believe in it, and I shall pray. Thank God! Yes, I shall always pray."
Sarah Smith versus Adam Smith.
9th Congressional District:
Regarding the Primary, "Top 2" is now settled with Sarah Smith in second place. "Congressman For Life" Adam Smith, the incumbent who won first place soundly, is endorsed by Kristine Reeves, but has a sub-majority vote. The Mark Greene for Representative campaign backs Sarah over the incumbent in this race that now has just 2 Democrats (one of them will take the office through our "Top 2" system, but at least she's good on the environment); although, backed Doug Basler (G.O.P.) in the Primary. Keeping a watch on the General Election campaign, of course.
